It is common for children and teenagers to feel sad and disheartened over issues including bad grades at school, occasional disagreement with parents, fall out with friends, insecurity about themselves or their bodies, or other typical adolescent problems. Such concerns and difficult situations may make them feel sad, anxious or irritated but most of them recover over time.
